The restaurant is open only from Tuesday to Sunday.

Boasting panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and Kerry Mountains, the resort is set within 500 acres of parkland with plenty of outdoor activities you can indulge in.

For instance, you can give a go to archery, kayaking, petanque, or simply enjoy peaceful strolls.

Furthermore, there are several mapped trails and a fairy-themed walk for children.

Also, the hotel boasts a 9-hole golf course and a spa with a swimming pool, thermal suites, and outdoor hot tubs, making it perfect for a relaxing holiday in the Ring of Kerry.

Generally, the apartment is a popular accommodation due to its stunning mountain and sea views and close proximity to the Skellig Experience Center.

But it is also a fantastic choice to experience warm Irish hospitality and have a cozy stay after exploring the area, especially in winter’s rainy and cold weather.

Specifically, the apartment features a satellite flat-screen TV, a well-equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave, two bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer, and a baby safety gate.

Located in Portmagee, this bed and breakfast is close to Skellig Experience Center with plenty of boating, hiking, and cycling opportunities or peaceful strolls in the garden and picnic area of the accommodation.

Situated in Waterville and just a few minutes away from Waterville Beach and Inny Strand Beach, Kieltys of Kerry Bed and Breakfast is an excellent accommodation for those looking for a spot to experience Irealnd’s coastal lifestyle.

The bed and breakfast offers modern rooms and suites with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a hair dryer, free toiletries, and a shower.

Additionally, it serves a full English and Irish breakfast with plenty of vegetarian options too.

The accommodation also offers a picnic area and a sun terrace that you can take advantage of to relax and marvel at the beautiful scenery.

Kieltys of Kerry Bed and Breakfast is about 15 km from O’Connell Memorial Church, while Skellig Experience Centre is 22 km away.

But there are also many other attractions to visit within a short distance, either by hiking, cycling, or driving.

The Ferris Wheel B&B

This is where I stayed and I enjoyed my cozy room. The only critique I have about this B&B is the instant coffee they have for breakfast and the small breakfast room that doesn’t have enough tables for all the guests.

Other than that, the owners are lovely and they offer many useful information on hikes and things to do to make your stay more enjoyable.

Located just half a kilometer from the renowned Gap of Dunloe mountain pass, The Ferris Wheel B&B offers a prime location and a range of amenities and services. 

In fact, The Ferris Wheel B&B offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the area’s natural beauty through scenic jaunting car tours of the Gap.

Also, the B&B is conveniently located a 15-minute car ride away from Killarney’s center, train station, and bus station.

For those seeking entertainment and dining options, Kate Kearney’s Cottage is a mere five-minute walk away, offering delicious Irish cuisine complemented by live traditional music and Irish dancing.

Within just a 10-minute drive, guests can explore the breathtaking Lakes of Killarney and enjoy a round of golf at one of the two nearby golf courses.

We had a lovely stay in the B&B. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

If you want a holiday within nature but still feel luxurious, then why not try glamping?

Specifically, Killarney Glamping at the Grove offers Glamping Suites and Luxury Lodges.

But the most beautiful part of the suites is the incredible scenery from the private decked patio.

What a gorgeous place to stay. Our lodge was well-appointed, roomy, warm, and equipped with everything we needed. The location is very tranquil.

But the road is often quite narrow and winding, meaning that rather than using a car, it is best to use alternatives, like simply hiking and walking or cycling. 

However, if you’d rather avoid driving in Ireland yourself or even the extensive research you might need when hiking or cycling, choose to get around with public transportation, organized bus tours, or hiring a local guide. 

How Long Should You Spend on the Ring of Kerry?

The Ring of Kerry may be just a single road, but it is, in fact, a lot more than that.

So, even though you could complete the entire route within a day, I would advise you to spend at least two to three days to fully appreciate the area. 

With two to three days, you can have enough time to explore various landmarks and picturesque villages and stop at scenic viewpoints to simply admire the area’s beauty. 

However, if you want to truly immerse in the area, I recommend spending up to a week in the Ring of Kerry to visit off-the-beaten-path destinations and join various activities like boating and horse riding.

Also, you won’t regret experiencing Ireland’s culture by engaging with the locals, tasting delicious traditional meals, and enjoying a lively music session.
