California is home to the most amazing parks where you have the chance to isolate yourself and be immersed in nature, far from the city and yet with all the comfort and stylish ambiance. And for this, the Airbnb Glamping in California gives you a great choice of gorgeous places to stay.
Joshua tree park is one of those places and you will be happy to know that it is now open (at the time I am writing this) and you can enjoy nice walks in the deserts among interesting trails marked by boulders and the spiky Joshua trees, soak up the peaceful magic vibes of the desert and disconnect from the city routine.
I visited Joshua Tree on a day trip from the quirky city of Palm Springs which is also worth a visit. But next time I go I will surely choose to stay by the park for a couple of days and relax in one of these amazing glamping sites enjoying the desert starry nights and day walks.
But before diving into the stunning Joshua Tree Glamping spots, I would like to share some information that you should know.
Things you must know about Joshua Tree National Park before planning your trip
- Glamping is the best and most glamorous way to practice social distance, especially in Joshua Tree park.
- Winters can be quite cold, ranging from the 30s to the 60s during the day and dropping below freezing at night. It can snow.
- Summers can be quite warm during the day, up to 100 degrees and dropping to 70s at night.
- There is no lodging inside the park but there are camping sites where you can set up your own tent and make your own glamping space.
- …or you can stay just out of the park as far as 2 miles from the entrance and stay in one of the spectacular glamping tents with heated blankets and hot showers, besides the glamorous decor (see next section)
- In Joshua Tree National Park you can explore on your own or with an expert guide and have many different experiences.
- It seems that the name Joshua tree was given by Mormon immigrants who had made their way across the Colorado River in the 19th century. Legend has it that these pioneers named the tree after the biblical figure, Joshua since their branches reminded them of a biblical story in which Joshua keeps his hands reached out for an extended period of time to guide the Israelites in their conquest of Canaan.
- The scientific name of the Joshua tree is Yucca brevifolia.
FINAL THOUGHT
From November through February, please make sure that you check the weather before your arrival because that can change from one day to another. It can get very windy, very hot and cold – so make sure you know how the weather will be while your stay if this is a crucial factor for the positive outcome of your trip.

The dome boasts a very unique design combining natural wood with decorative stone elements, antiques with modern pieces, and other precious details that create an elegant and yet cozy atmosphere that make this space so special.

The property is only 10 minutes away from local restaurants, bars, and shops, 7 miles from Joshua Tree National Park and 3 miles from the famous Pappy and Harriot’s Restaurant in Pioneertown. And yet you feel miles away from everything.
It’s a real hotel-like camping experience with a comfortable queen bed and luxury decor, but without compromising the feeling of being completely in nature, in the middle of the desert
Your hosts also cater for special occasions such as anniversaries.
The highlight of this place, though, is the king canopy bed outside, for the guest to watch the stars from the comfort of the soft mattress, or for an afternoon nap.

Please keep in mind that there is no electricity though, so it is best to bring portable chargers for your electronics.
IMPORTANT: Please do not drive past the small chain link barrier in the driveway; the north end of driveway is washed out with up to 12 inches thick of deep sand, most cars will get stuck there and then you will be responsible for getting towed out of there if you try to drive it.
ALSO – despite the beautiful decor of the tent, please remember you are not in a luxury hotel. You are required to keep the kitchen clean and tidy after use and take the trash with you when you leave, as there is no trash service yet. Trash bags are available at the bottom of the trashcan in the kitchen.

Situated on 5 acres of desert, only two miles from the entrance to the national park, one of the best locations if you don’t want to rough it and bring your own camping gear or if the camping sites inside the park are already full.
Tents are fully equipped with mattresses, bed frames, pillows/linens, kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, water station, heater, towels, plates, cups, etc.
You will also have your own property parking near your tent.
No kids are allowed and neither is smoking
This is a nice tented camp where you have your own kitchenette and you will only share the bathroom and the pool, besides the camping area.
Having a pool to cool off after a day hiking, especially in the summer is definitely a great plus.
You are also at less than 1 mile from the quaint town of Joshua Tree.

This beautiful and unique Bubble-tent is perfect for an exceptional getaway from the city or just a special treat to yourself and your partner.
It is located in a private 30 acres lot, 13 miles from Joshua Tree National Park in Joshua Tree, CA.
You will have all the area for yourself but if you are concerned about privacy, worry not. There are curtains inside your bubble that you can pull et voila’, nobody will be able to see you.
The bubble has been designed to maximize your luxury experience in the desert and take it to a different level, guaranteeing comfort, privacy for a glamorous adventure in nature.
What’s inside the Bubble:

The Aquarius Tent at Purple Peaks

The Aquarius Tent is located inside a gated fence on 5 acres of land shared only with a vintage RV rental and another tent. However, they are set at a nice distance away and facing different directions to guarantee privacy.

It’s the perfect place to get away from the daily routine or city noise and enjoy the silence of the desert.
Some Covid safety restrictions and advice apply to keep the guests safe and happy:
- Occupancy of each unit is limited to members of a single household.
- Units are sanitized prior to each occupancy.
- Most businesses are still closed in town (restaurants, bars, stores, etc.)
- You are kindly requested to bring in all food and items you may need to limit additional contacts with the local small community.
- You are advised to check the opening time of the park before traveling.
The spacious Nomad tent, decorated in a modern Bedouin style, features a large king bed for 2 to sleep in extreme comfort. However, the sofa bed can allow an additional person (extra charge)
The tent is equipped with a Yeti cooler to store your drinks and snacks but there is no running water.
In your private area you can enjoy a private patio with propane firepit (no wood needed) and hammock, perfect for star gazing.
You will share restroom and kitchen with other guests from the other tip (5 in total).
Among the facilities:
- two fully functioning FLUSHING toilets
- beautiful propane heated HOT outdoor shower
- indoor sinks
- full kitchen including a full-size refrigerator, cooktop, dishes, french press (bring coffee) and pots and pans in case you want to cook and a propane barbecue grill and dining area on the patio.
- Trash service is daily, so just bag it and leave it in the kitchen.
WINTER WEATHER DISCLAIMER:
In winter it can be freezing and snowing. It’s warm in the tent but very cold outside in the bathroom and kitchen. Please check the weather and consider this when booking.
